Great little railway if you can find it!

点评：I have been to this railway before but some years ago and for the life of me I could not find it again. It is very poorly signposted. There is a very poor mobile signal in the area so the satnav tried to take me to the middle of a field half a mile away. I wasted 45 minutes driving backwards and forwards along narrow lanes trying to find the railway. I was not the only one. A family in another car stopped and asked me for directions. I said I'm sorry I have no idea and I am about to give up! I don't like to moan as the place is run by volunteers and I know how much dedication and hard work these sorts of heritage lines require. But listen Helston Railway people, you are losing customers for sake of a few more signs! I found it in the end but I missed my train. The next one was 90 minutes later and I could not wait. So that is another ticket lost. So if you are heading there and going east, go under the big railway bridge and almost immediately turn left into Trevarno Farm. You might spot a little sign by the entrance saying Helston Railway or you might not... but that is where it is.
As for the railway itself, the line is short and sweet but makes a nice afternoon out. There are good facilities as described by other reviewers. It was a good few years ago that I last had a train ride there but the staff were very helpful and informative. I really hope that that as the years go by the line can be extended bit by bit so that it ends up more ike the Bodmin steam railway experience. For that the volunteers need money, which means more customers and ticket sales, and that means bigger and better signage!
