点评:I was excited about this activity - to the point that we arranged travel outside of Tokyo to get there - but we ended up being underwhelmed. I think the problem may have been that another group of 4 or 5 had apparently booked a "private lesson" at the same time that we booked our class during one of the normal time slots (Tuesday at 10am), and so that group seemed to get all the attention of the owners. (I didn't even know a "private lesson" was a possibility.) Our experience included 40 minutes of learning how to put wires on the branches (which was fun), but we didn't get any history or information about bonsai trees, nor did they let us do simple things like cutting off the dead branches. We then shaped our trees. After that, we were supposed to get a tour, but that consisted of a 2-minute talk that pointed out the oldest tree that they had. (We then forced the issue by asking 4 or 5 more questions.) We then spent about 20 minutes walking around looking at their trees (no signs or information posted, unfortunately). I don't regret doing this experience, but for the money, I was hoping for more.
