点评:I would love to give 5 stars but that would not be accurate. 1 star is also not fair for 1 bad experience to an otherwise amazing experience.
An anniversary gift from my wife was a 6th gear experience. Not sure who she booked with but we had to postpone. Very helpful and friendly staff assisted that process. Booking in at the track was also very pleasant with very helpful and friendly staff. Even the additional charges were not enough to loose a star. Very organised, great demo lap and 1st session with Dean in the Lambo blew my mind. Dean was great, very friendly, welcomed me from outside the car. Gave great technical advice during the session. Brilliant instructor. 2nd round, the Ferrari, my 1st choice in car. I was excited about this 1. Sadly though, it kept sticking in 4th. I had to pull over twice, switch off and restart. These things happen and still no reason to loose a star. John, the instructor in the Ferrari put a damper on the day. He lost that star. Sat in the passenger seat, waved me in the car, gave the instructions. I was still on a high to my 1st session but that soon went as all he could do was shout "gear up gear gear up!!!" The gear is stuck in 4th. Told him the 1st round, we eventually pulled over and then on the next lap, same thing. This guy shouting at me, me telling him its jammed again. I eventually had to shout at this guys saying its jammed again. Not easy to drive with a guy shouting and even taking the wheel on more than 1 occasion. I just left the wheel eventually and let him pull the car over. He still tried to sell me an additional lap for £35 because of the faulty car??? to which I asked why I shouldn't pay??? To his credit I did get that free lap which he kept reminding me about. He still marked me 84/100 and claimed I did a good drive but his overall unfriendly manner, very little if any constructive coaching and continual shouting was unpleasant. I'm 57, not an inexperienced teenager. 3rd session, the Porsche which was my last choice of car and Peter, the gentle giant of an instructor. Like Dean, Peter welcomed me from outside the car. Peter made that Porsche my overall favourite. He was awesome, great coaching, amazing customer service and a lot of fun. Him and Dean need to help John with customer service. It's so obvious they love what they do.
Great day, thank you 6th gear and the majority of your staff. I will be back. I will bring my wife as a participant and I will ask for Peter or Dean if they are available but we won't drive with John
