Whisby Garden Centre的点评
点评：We went to Whisby Garden Centre primarily to visit the cafe as it was near where we were staying and we had read that it was dog friendly. The garden centre seemed a bit untidy and run down but we found the cafe and a sign explained that customers with dogs could sit in the ‘old’ cafe that was through the recently refurbished cafe area (which seemed nice). We ordered, then went through to the dog friendly area. It smelt really bad! Very run down and a very doggy smell. After a few minutes it was affecting my breathing and we moved to sit outside. It’s absolutely fair enough to restrict dogs to a certain area and we’ve come across this in several other places. However this was most unpleasant and not like anything I’ve ever encountered before.
With regard to our food and drinks, the brownie was dry, the scone was better, and the drinks were ok except the server handed the mugs to us holding the rim which isn’t very hygienic.
Our friend who is local apologised for not warning us! We won’t go again.
The plants in the garden centre did look healthy and well cared for though.
