点评:The museum has some very unique pieces. They are "in the raw" and visitors are allowed to touch most of them. They really bring home the extent of the WW2 and the brave men and women who fought in it.
The salvage from aircraft mainly but not entirely those that crashed in SE England is displayed with some useful explanatory material. The volunteer staff really are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and encourage questions. That said some more audio visual explanations around the exhibits would be helpful. Presumably cash restraints influence these decisions.
Perhaps I am a little mean not awarding the full 5 stars but my hope is that some more work will be done on explanatory material before my next visit and I can be more generous next time. I feel repeat visits should be encouraged with some kind of scheme. The cash effect would not necessarily be negative for a well thought out scheme.
The museum is well worth a visit and certainly needs to be encouraged.
