点评：We chose this place because it was the only one open in the afternoon, so we could include it in our Jerez day out after seeing the splendid horse show. The good news was that we were the only two booked for the trip. The whole thing was very cursory/business-as-usual. We tasted 6 lovely sherries and saw the barrels and had the process explained – and sort of remembered some of it!
The unique feature of this bodegas is that you get to visit the highly impressive art collection that the family owns.
It was a dull day – weather verging on rain the whole time – but I wonder how much we would have taken to Jerez even if the sun had been shining. A lot of the neighbourhoods surroundinng the old city are downright ugly. The location of this place is no exception.
Beware purchasing. We didn't ask the price (derr!) before buying a bottle of their tasty Amontillado. Mistake. 92 EUROS!!!!!!!! No wonder Fortnum and Mason is their main dealer in London. No wonder the family could afford to amass their art collection.
There are loads more sherry visits to choose from. Check them out. Do a bit of research.
