Banham Barrel的点评
点评：We were staying at Applewood Campsite and fancied a drink, so popped into The Barrel and honestly didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be such a great find.
It was fairly quiet when we arrived, but the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. There’s a really good selection of drinks, gins, ales and beers, and the place itself is cosy and wholesome with a wood burner, but also full of quirky, nostalgic decor. The Thunderbirds memorabilia especially stood out.
The owner mentioned there was an open mic night, which really surprised us for what felt like a sleepy village in Norfolk. We stayed and the place soon filled up. The atmosphere was brilliant and there were some genuinely talented musicians.
We grabbed food from The Trawler’s Catch next door and were allowed to eat it in The Barrel, which was a lovely touch.
Overall, such a memorable little place. Wholesome, welcoming and full of character. We’re fairly local and will definitely be back. One of those unexpected gems you’re really glad you found.
