点评:As 80 year olds we got concession tickets . The cost was £15 in total for two hours of fantastic educational entertainment. We met our guide, Julie Morton, at the school shop and from step one Julie impressed us with not only her knowledge of the school and its history but her obvious passion for this incredible institution. The huge stained glass windows in the chapel could cover a tour on their own, incredibly detailed, each piece telling a fascinating story.
The museum is small but a history lesson on its own and the ‘classics’ classroom is a step back in time, with thousands of ancient books from floor to ceiling. Having watched and enjoyed the film ‘Tom Browns Schooldays’ it was wonderful to stand in the exact same place it was filmed. The architecture is phenomenal, it has to be seen up close to believe it and the entire school is immaculate, a credit to the gardeners and cleaners.
We would highly recommend it to anyone living in or visiting Rugby.
