Boston Bay Wines的点评
点评：During our recent visit to Port Lincoln, my husband and I had the pleasure of spending Melbourne Cup Day at Boston Bay Winery where we had booked a wine tasting and lunch. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Jan, and while she did have a bus group in for lunch she took the time to talk with us and make us feel very welcome, at the same time ensuring her group were being well looked after.
Jan shared the background of the family owned Boston Bay wines, made suggestions as to what we might like to sample - given we were from interstate some wines in SA taste quite different. The tasting was a very generous 4-5 samples of both white and red, most enjoyable.
The lovely chef came for a chat and discussed her menu with us, explaining her menu , local, home grown ingredients included, lunch was absolutely delicious.
Later another group arrived and again Jan excelled in welcoming these guests and making us all feel very much at home and welcomes as part of the family. We shared travel stories and enjoyed the Cup festivities, yes complete with Champagne! It was a great day out, thank you Jan and your wonderful staff!
The winery is in a superb location, beautiful views and gardens and so comfy and inviting. And yes we are home now and anxiously awaiting our wine order so we can open a bottle and reminisce about Boston Bay.
If you are in the Port Lincoln area you should put Boston Bay wines on your agenda - you won't be disappointed!
