点评：Just because this hotel is a spa hotel don’t expect to be able to use the spa unless you’ve pre booked. We didn’t realise this as it’s not mentioned on the website and were refused entry. So instead we decided to chill in the room until our dinner reservation… in Room 30 the telephone doesn’t work the tv remote doesn’t work and the mirrors broken in the bathroom…. Oh and a £285 dinner bed and breakfast booking gets you one packet of biscuits to share in the room.
Food in the restaurant was excellent but the service and ambience is very poor. The restaurant was definitely under staffed with dirty plates lying around and a 40 minute wait for our first round of drinks. The second round never arrived. My wife said where are the candles on the tables or table dressings or soft music? It’s like eating in a canteen.
We left the hotel very disappointed and at no time did a restaurant manager come and apologise and on check out we informed the receptionist how poor value our stay was but she didn’t offer to get the manager or perhaps make our drinks at dinner complimentary.
There are many spa hotels in Lancashire I’d advise you to pick another one.
