点评:We went to the RDV point by taxi. We waited for the tour guide. At 1:10, we stopped a passing local and asked that he call the office. Thankfully, he did and told the office lady that we were waiting but no guide showed up. In just 5 min the guide appeared, for he thought we'd wait by the statue on the square, not by the pizza resto.
We had Michas for the next few hours, walking to four different eating places. Kamanda Lwowska was full of charm, dim lit ambiance. We had sour rye soup, mushrooms and white sausages, and pierogi. At a vintage chocolate confectionary shop, Pijalnia Czekolady E. Wedel, we had choc-coated marshmallows. In wartime, choc was scarce, and this method allowed the choc to go farther. Lussi offered street food pizza with lots of cheese and ketchup. So cold eating outside. Finally, at Patelnia Patera, near our hotel, we had hearty mains of more dumplings, marinate pork chops, sauerkraut and potatoes. We opted to skip dessert.
We were glad we went food touring, but also we're happy to return to our warm hotel room.
A shout out to Michas for being so kind and patient with us and giving us relevant commentary about what we were eating. He is also English fluent.
