Chateau de Sauvan的点评
点评：This beautiful Chateau is a gem nestled in the countryside of haute Provence. The current owners have worked tirelessly to restore this historic time capsule, sadly without the aid and recognition of the French Government. The collection is stunning, carrying you through the ages of 18th century French aristocracy, a portal to understanding rein and region through out the ages.
Our guide was an incredible wealth of knowledge, bringing to life each section of the chateau with theatrical and animated tales of it’s residents, as if we were the fly on the wall, to this enchanted world. Grande Merci! There are language transcripts to follow along if you don’t speak French. The tour was 2 hours.
Donating to this establishment, and others like it, keeps our collective history from falling into ruin and memory. We must learn from our forefathers in order not to repeat their mistakes, and preserve their creative knowledge.
I highly recommend giving yourself the time to savour the Chateau de Sauvan.
