点评:To get up, you can either walk or take the cable car, which costs 230 baht for tourists.
The complex up on the 95m high hill was built as a summer palace for King Mongkut and was completed in 1860. Parts of the palace are now a museum with really interesting pieces inside. However, be aware of the rather intense heat up here. All the members of staff were basically hiding in front of fans while we were the tourists walking around with towels around our shoulders. So, if you want to see this place, definitely come prepared!
There were a couple more tourists during our visit, but overall it was rather empty. Some areas are also really in dire need of some love and repairs, and it partly did look rather neglected. The view from up here is really great and it’s definitely an interesting visit, especially if you head into the museum as well!
If you want to visit it, definitely try to head here as early as possible to avoid the heat and take your time to visit all of the hills and the museum.
