Summer Visit to Alnwick Castle

点评：We had a great trip to Alnwick Castle, and for us the highlight was the on-location film tour. I think our tour guide was called Ellie, and they were brilliant, really knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the castle and its history.
We visited during the summer holidays, so it was absolutely packed, with our tour group having at least 30 people in it. Despite that, we still got a lot out of the tour and Ellie did a great job of keeping everyone engaged.
The castle itself is beautiful, incredibly clean and full of atmosphere. As a Harry Potter fan, it genuinely felt even more like stepping into Hogwarts than I expected. It’s easy to see why it has been used as a filming location.
It’s also worth noting that Alnwick Castle has featured in plenty of other productions, including Downton Abbey and Transformers: The Last Knight, so there’s plenty here beyond its Harry Potter connections.
A really enjoyable visit and definitely worth doing the on location tour if you’re visiting.
