Het Nationaal Modelspoor Museum的点评
点评：If you look on Trip Advisor for the location of the Model Railway Museum it shows that it is located at Sneek railway station. This is the old location of the museum. It is now located in a large building on the outskirts of the town. Fortunately I had done my homework beforehand and I knew where it was when I arrived in the town by train.
It was an enjoyable walk to the museum and when I arrived I paid my admission and was able to have a walk around and admire the many, many layouts they have on display.
I enjoyed seeing lots of the layouts which had been built for the TV show The Model Railway Challenge. There was plenty of variety and creativity on display. My favourite was the Harry Potter layout which had incorporated many different locations from the films.
There are layouts in a different gauges which was great to see and depicting different countries as well.
All the layouts have buttons to press to get the trains to run which is fun for younger visitors as they can have that bit of control and interaction.
There is a large play area for children as well as toilets and at the gift shop you can buy new and secondhand pieces for your own layout. There are also colouring sheets for children.
Make sure you sign the guest book and let them know how much you enjoyed the visit. If you are a model railway fan then I definitely recommend a visit to this place.
