点评：My family of 4 chose to do a personalized trek to Dzongri from Yuksam and decided to go with Mountain Tours and Travels because they are known to be an experienced and responsible local operator.
My experience of booking the trek through Mingma was satisfactory and the service we received was really excellent. Before the trek, he made sure that we were carrying all the right personal equipment and even provided gaiters because of the wet weather - that was so useful, keeping away the slush and leeches!
His team of guide, cook, helper and yaksman were all very professional and so competent. Thank you Kassang, Baichung, Ashish and Nema- very grateful for your support.
Kassang managed the arrangements and pace of the trek to ensure that we were always comfortable and safe. The food was wholesome and delicious. My son's birthday was on the trek and they magically prepared a lovely cake to celebrate it - quite amazing with such basic equipment! Such a sweet thoughtful gesture by the team. Well done.
The trek itself was challenging but we felt ready for the challenge and enjoyed the various seasons we experienced, all in a single week. Rain, snow, hail, cloudy skies and bright sunshine! The views of the Kanchenjunga from the Dzongri top were worth all the effort of trekking up to view it. Truly amazing and awesome - we knew we were lucky to view this magestic mountain because not everyone gets clear skies and great views. We were grateful for it but honestly the trek would have been well worth it anyway because the mountains closer to us were just as awe inspiring and glorious.
