点评：Visited Cairn Hill ETMC, Ooty on 07/05/2026 with my family expecting to experience one of their main attractions — the hanging bridge. Unfortunately, after purchasing tickets and entering the premises, we later discovered that the hanging bridge was completely closed.
The disappointing part is that this information was never informed at the ticket counter before collecting the entry fee. Even after raising the issue, the staff repeatedly claimed that prior information had already been given, which was not true.
Another concern was that several other tourists also appeared unaware that the main attraction was closed before purchasing tickets.
The watch tower requires a long walk of around 2 km, and many visitors — including elderly people like my grandfather — came mainly to experience the hanging bridge. What should have been a memorable family visit instead became a disappointing experience.
I have proper photo evidence regarding the closure and the overall situation.
Tourist places should maintain transparency and clearly inform visitors if major attractions are unavailable before collecting ticket charges. Hoping the authorities take proper action and improve visitor management in the future.
