点评：Skala Roman Villa - I visited this site today and was disappointed to find it locked up and very neglected, with high rails and an an ugly admission box preventing anyone from glimsing inside the covered enclosure. Having visited over a decade before and previously. I recall, it once was possible at least to be able to view the wonderful mosaics incredibly crafted by the Roman travelling artisans who created these works Art. The only thing of beauty there today was a fully blossoming Passion flower smiling out from the crudely erected wire fencing in the rough and stony unmade pathway that precariously led down to the site. What a pity people for who may have travelled thousands of miles to get there only discover they have to time their visit to coincide with infrequent and irregular opening opening times. It’s the only Roman on Kephalonia and this important site should be readily accessible.
