Fantastic Experience for Anyone with an Interest in Dinosaurs!!

点评：I am so happy to have discovered PaleoAdventures many years ago! Walter and Heather Stein, the owners of this venture, are wonderful people, as are their staff. I have gone on trips with them for the past 7 years. I enjoyed taking my teenage daughter for the first couple of years and have been returning solo each year since. You will find fossils that you can keep like triceratops and duckbill dinosaur teeth, turtle shell, crocodile teeth, garfish scales, dinosaur bone fragments and other fossils from the Hell Creek formation--the time just before the big asteroid hit! You will also likely find fossils considered commercial but not of scientific value which you may be able to purchase at reasonable prices like a duckbill dinosaur bone or a T-rex tooth! I really appreciate PaleoAdventures policy that if you find something of rarity/scientific value that it is reseved for study or museums--as it should be. I guarantee you will not regret joining one of their tours and digging for dinosaurs!! Trips typically fill up fast so it is good idea to check out their website when reserations open up for the season but they sometimes have cancelations so check to see if they may be able to take you even during the summer season. The owners opened the Dinosaurs of the Hell Creek Museum last year and it is the location where one meets for the dinosaur dig tours. Even it you can't do a dig, you should visit the museum when you are visitng the Rapid City area! Charles Jennissen, Reviewer.
