A vibrant and colourful Beach promenade, lots to do and see
Boardwalk的点评
点评：Wednesday 4th February we walked this beach walkway in Philipsburg. It is known as the Broadwalk and stretches along the coast for about 1 kilometre (around 0.6 miles).
The Boardwalk is sandwiched between Front Street on one side and Great Bay Beach on the other. There are a number of small streets linking the two, including Walter Plantz Square, reviewed separately.
The paved pathway is lined with shops, restaurants, bars, street stalls and a plethora of colourful buildings. A smell of food being cooked on the barbecue wafted through the air.
It would be impossible for visitors to go either hungry or thirsty on the Boardwalk.
A number of street sellers walked up and selling their wares. Also along the way were a number of buskers performing.
There were also, my favourite, which I classify as oddities, Boardwalk Oddities are reviewed separately. They add a bit of colour and enhances the atmosphere along this vibrant and busy promenade.
Dotted down the Boardwalk were a number of kiosks selling tours and boat trips.
We walked here from our cruise ship and it took roughly 15 minutes maximum. Another way to get here us to take a water taxi from the cruise pier directly to Great Bay Beach jetty it costs $7 (approximately £5) each way.
