One of the highlights of our stay in Bratislava

点评：We have visited art galleries all over the world, but this was our first experience of Slovak art and we were very impressed. It was so interesting to see the influences the artists took from other parts of the world, owing to the history of their country and how much work was simply Slovakian. As others have said, the building itself is a joy to see and every effort has been made to display the works in a way which is in keeping with the architecture and enhances the whole experience. The interactive exhibition was recommended as the final one we should see and although some of the works were out of bounds to my husband (certain lighting can provoke a migraine) it left me with memories of works which are unforgettable. This, however, prompted invaluable information from Michaela, on the reception desk, who took the time to educate us further during a long conversation about the artists, their work and a little of Slovakian history as well. We were extremely grateful for her time and interest; she is certainly an asset to the gallery.
