Stunning Scenery, Missing Main Course
Great Journeys New Zealand的点评
点评：Great views and premium feel, but be aware of the upgrade costs and lunch menu.
The Good:
- The Scenery: Absolutely spectacular views from Auckland to Wellington.
- The Carriage & Crew: The seats are very comfortable with a premium feel, and the staff is incredibly friendly and approachable.
- Food Quality: The meals themselves are delicious and high quality.
The Could-Be-Better:
- Missing Main Course: Lunch was a letdown as it lacked a proper main dish. We were served a waffle course and a cheese course for our midday meal, and didn't receive a substantial main course until the very end of the journey. An upfront menu would be highly beneficial.
- Carriage Layout: The Scenic Plus carriage is located at the end and at least four cars away from the open-air viewing carriage in the front, making it quite a trek if you want to take photos outside.
- Upgrade Pricing: We upgraded from Scenic to Scenic Plus at the last minute. This was disappointingly much more expensive than just buying a Scenic Plus ticket from the start. Book in advance!
