点评：Guys’ Golf Trip – Beautiful Course, But Pace of Play Was a Major Issue
Pros:
Stunning course design and scenery, truly a beautiful layout.
Golf carts were in great shape.
The bar & grill near the pro shop was perfectly adequate.
Fairways were in good condition.
Cons:
Driving range was closed
Tee boxes were unmowed and overgrown.
Greens were playable, but the cups looked like they hadn’t been moved in some time, grass was hanging over the lip on every hole.
Extremely slow pace of play; we waited 15–25 minutes on every tee box.
Our Experience
We arrived 30 minutes early for our scheduled Saturday 12:56 p.m. tee time, but were not sent to the tee until 1:15 p.m. After paying $125 for 18 holes, we were only able to play 9, not because of daylight, but because it took 3 hours just to complete the front nine.
When we returned to the pro shop, we were told that the course “cannot guarantee 18 holes for tee times after 1 p.m.” We explained that our tee time was before 1 p.m., but the delay was on their end. Even so, we were told they do not offer a 9-hole rate and could not issue any cash refund.
The staff member did offer $60 in pro-shop credit, but since we were from out of town, we had to spend it immediately. When I expressed concern that a 6–6.5 hour round is not standard, I was told that such a pace is “perfectly normal,” which was disappointing to hear.
Bottom Line:
Oak Quarry is a beautiful course with great potential, but the pace of play and management of tee times made the experience frustrating. I would only consider returning if:
the green fees were significantly reduced, or tee times were spaced appropriately to ensure a round can be completed in 5 hours or less.
