点评:Located on the south bank of the Savitri river overlooking it's mouth. It is one of the smaller forts but one of the few that have been restored by the state archeological survey.this sentry fort has passed through many hands from the Soddis to the famous Kanoji Angre. Last captured by a joint force of the Peshwa and British who had a falling out with the angre descendent. The British used the fort for some time before abandoning it and till recently this fort was in a state of disrepair.
No really traces of the maratha presence left. There is 1 light cannon above the gate which is of British make and made in 1797.
There is a modern walkway all along the perimeter of the fort which you can explore. Spectacular view from the fort
Entry is free but the road is steep and not in a very good condition so drive carefully. Small village just before the fort.
Entry is free.
