Unexpected Surprises - Nice Clean Cabin and Great Bass Fishing

点评：We rented a cabin for a couple of nights and a boat for 2 days. The cabin was great (very clean) and well furnished with linens, towels, cooking utensils, Keurig (with some coffee pods), etc. Full sized fridge, stove, etc. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds were decent (not firm enough for my liking, but good enough after a long day of fishing).
The boat was great for our purposes (bream and bass fishing) and ran well most of the time. We did have a little difficulty mid afternoon, but Bryn responded immediately and sent someone out to check on us and make sure things were running again in no time. We were pretty well done for the day at that point anyway and decided to head on back to the fish camp.
They ended up only charging us for 1/2 day rental on the boat to make things right.
The camp store had plenty of bait and the staff who helped us both days were very helpful the whole trip. The day we arrived, we told them we were hoping to catch some bream. They told us that they weren’t really moving in yet, but gave us a great report and directions where we could try for some bass. We caught a dozen bass each over the 2 days we fished and had them all by 10:30 each morning. Most of them were caught on top water plugs which was incredibly and made for a very memorable trip. The biggest fish was just over 3 1/4 pounds, but all of them were solid healthy fish.
We’re looking forward to heading back the Highland Park once the bream start biting.
Oh, one other thing, we found the place somewhat remote and very quiet when we were there and had several wildlife encounters both at the camp (turkeys, great blue heron, sand hill cranes) and on the water (gators, egrets, ospreys and manatees).

我们期待着鲷鱼开始咬钩的时候再去高地公园。
哦，还有一件事，我们觉得那里比较偏僻，也很安静，在营地（火鸡、大蓝鹭、沙丘鹤）和水里（鳄鱼、白鹭、鱼鹰和海牛）都遇到了不少野生动物。
