One of Africa's most visually spectacular sites--not to miss!

点评：Visually spectacular! It's the instagrammer's paradise, with all the skeletal trees littering the long-dried-up lake bed, surrounded by sand dunes and an endless blue sky. Obviously you can't miss seeing this place on your trip to Namibia; it's certainly one of the top 2 or 3 things to see in the whole country.
Pro tip for your visit: if you want some attractive pics, arrive early and go to the dead trees first. It gets hot here and you won't look like a disheveled mess if you start with your selfies amongst the trees. Then you can move on to the other favorite on-site activity, which is climbing the giant sand dune(s) surrounding the trees. The climb is tough from wherever you start, and you'll be a sweaty mess by the time you reach the top. If you do the climb first and then make your way into the skeletal tree area second, you won't be nearly as put together in your selfies. (It's the desert. It's hot!)
If your resort doesn't offer transportation to this site, you are able to drive yourself to a parking lot that's about a 10-minute walk into the dead-trees area. You'll need a 4WD vehicle as you'll be driving through sand, often deep. Bring your own water. The outhouses here might be the worst place to use a toilet I've ever seen in my whole life.
