点评：I'm facing similar issues as many others who purchased a certificate but couldn't use it in time or get a refund. My good friend and I bought a $550 gift certificate on May 13, 2019, for my fiancé—now my husband. Since then, we've moved from Arizona to Washington.
What’s frustrating is that there’s no mention of a one-year expiration date on the certificate itself, nor was it included in the email confirming my purchase. How can a gift certificate expire without this being clearly stated?
In the FAQ, it says, "Can I pay today and book a date or car later? If you are purchasing a track day as a gift, we sell an open date and open car certificate. Give the certificate to them now, and they can call us later to book." This implies that it is an open certificate.
I brought this to David Zubick's attention, hoping for a refund, which was denied in 2020, and I also requested to transfer it to someone else, which was denied recently.
I understand the rules and terms, but I hope that in the future, anyone purchasing a certificate is clearly informed about its one-year expiration. I also suggest updating the FAQ to reflect these terms.
