点评：I took the Paris Extended Photo Tour on Nov. 23, and it was so much more than I had hoped. It was part photography workshop, part learning about some of the more interesting districts of Paris and part hanging out with a friend.
My guide was expertly experienced technically. She was able to describe fundamental photographic concepts from an angle I hadn't considered before. For me, it was like someone added another light to the room. It wasn't like I learned something new, per se, but I saw some principles in a way that improved my overall understanding of the art — especially in regards to composition.
For me, that alone made the tour worth it. The shots of Montmontre, Notre Dame, the Seine and that pretty tower she helped me create will be in the family collection for a very long time. Also, my photos moving forward will all be a little bit better from the tour — as I'm a better photographer for it.
Also — icing on the eclair — I learned quite a bit about Paris.
