点评：On 11 October 2026, we visited Karlić Tartufi as part of an excursion organised during our cruise aboard Explora II. Unfortunately, the advertised “truffle hunt” fell far short of what had been promised.
Before entering the forest, we were given shoe covers. A dog handler then conducted a very brief demonstration with his dog. The dog went directly to several specific locations, which gave the clear impression that the truffles had been placed there in advance. Participants did not take part in an actual search; we simply watched the handler and dog move between the prepared spots. The entire so-«called “hunt” lasted only about 15 minutes.
We are familiar with what a genuine truffle hunt involves, and this experience did not resemble one.It appeared to be a staged demonstration designed for tourists rather than an authentic search for truffles.The excursion description created substantially different expectations and, in our view, did not accurately represent the activity that was provided.
We paid for an authentic truffle-hunting experience but received only a short and superficial presentation. The organisers should describe this activity accurately as a “truffle-search demonstration,” not as a genuine truffle hunt.We cannot recommend this excursion to anyone expecting an authentic, engaging, and worthwhile experience.
