Akal Wood Fossil Park的点评
点评：We visited the wood fossil park as we are into nature and like history. Unfortunately the place is in a very bad shape. Grass undergrowth has covered the fossil specimens kept in enclosures. There is dust all over making it difficult to even see the fossils clearly. There are no signages. No walking path. (sadly the budget goes into pockets than the actual purpose for whch its sanctioned). If you dont have a knowledgeable guide , you will not even know what it is.
Hence visit the place since its still very historical and fascinating on how this land was once all under water and wood has fossilzed into stone. But do it only if its on the way. Do not go there especially from Jaisalmer city. Its not worth driving 16km one way for this. Entry fee is Rs 10 per person.
We saw an Emu bird as well in the park. Not sure what its doing there alongwith few Neel Guys (blue bulls).
