Great concept for kids, but too busy and expensive

点评：We started going to the Centre back when you got annual admission when you bought a ticket. At the time, it was less known about and the value was really good (and probably, if anything, a little too generous!). It's a great idea - a way to teach children STEM that really engages them. The shows are good, the special lab activities are good, the regular activities are decent.
However, now in late 2025, a lot more people visit and they've changed the ticketing system - it's now very expensive for a single session, for what is, at heart, a fairly small site. Going during school holidays is quite unpleasant - while each session has a timed slot, I don't think this is enforced, so people stay over their time and the afternoons particularly are just too busy. This was seen very clearly during the afternoon show where a number of people were standing uncomfortably and blocking the aisle/fire exit.
My children don't particularly like interacting with others they don't know, and more boisterous kids pushed them off of activities. This is made the visit quite stressful for me as the parent.
I think it's a good indoor activity option for kids, but I'll probably only return not during a weekend or school holiday. I'd much prefer better value single sessions and a more strict regulation of visitor numbers during peak times.
