点评:Came here later in the afternoon, after spending most of the day in Noia.
Punta de Fisterra derives from the Latin finis terrae, meaning "the end of the earth." Contrary to popular myth, it is not the westernmost point of mainland Europe (that title belongs to Cabo da Roca in Portugal), nor is it even the westernmost point of Spain (which is the nearby Cabo Touriñán).
Once arrived at the free carpark, it's only steps to the souvenir shop, the Restaurant/Hotel and the Faro with its views. Public toilets are on site as well.
The Faro is more a functional building rather than an eye-catcher. Surely there are prettier Faros around Spain. There are several spots around this area to catch the nice coastal views here. There's a trail heading even further up if you're up to that. Just below of the Faro is one of the best spots to take in the coastline, a short flight of stairs are leading there.
And the views are wonderful here, that's true. But is it something I've never seen before or any different than the many other viewpoints in Spain offering great coastline views? No. It's a pretty place to be - but then again Spain offers so many spectacular viewpoints, Faros and coastal walks with views.
Don't get me wrong, it's worth coming here. And I'm glad we did. And we enjoyed it. But would I come back again? No. Seen it once now, and that's just fine.
