点评：Definitely a highlight of my trip to Costa Rica. My research suggested this should be a high-quality experience for bird photography, and I was delighted with both the place and especially Samantha.
First, the property is a very large private reserve, and has not been spoiled by any commercial activity. A recently built viewing platform provided an excellent spot for hummingbird photos. No feeders, just a large planting of hummer-friendly flowers. Then onto the forest trails, where Samantha used her calls and local knowledge to point out many species in their own habitat. Again, more great photo opportunities.
No crowds - this is a very quiet and natural place.
Second, Samantha herself is a passionate guide who literally grew up on this property. She understands the land, the birds, and was a pleasure to have a guide. After well over 3 hours, breakfast was served, with a great view of Uvita's Marino Ballena, or whale tail.
This is as authentic an experience you can have if you are interested in bird watching or bird photography. Highly recommended - thanks Samantha!
