点评:Went to visit during our cruise. The building is splendid and imposing. We were told to go downstairs to the exhibition first which we did. The downstairs was a concrete basement. We looked at the exhibition about the Northern lights and then sat to watch the 10 minute film. After 20 minutes we were told we could now go upstairs for the lecture and the film had not started.
The upstairs is the church and has an oak parquet floor, is covered with titanium and has lots to make the acoustics good. The lecture was about the church, it’s building and relevance to the Northern lights. Sadly I missed about 90% of her talk as she used a microphone which adversely affected the acoustics. The part I heard best was when she removed the microphone to talk without it to demonstrate the acoustics. She then suggested we go downstairs for the film. Having already been down to the basement and knowing there were several times more people than chairs we gave in.
On coming out the sun had set and the outside was lit which made it a striking building.
The whole experience was coloured by the poor organisation
