点评：An interesting way to spend a morning. The museum is located in the Victorian arches underneath the train station. The collection is mainly engineering related toys, such as model railways, meccano and related toys. There is a section devoted to dolls and puppets and an area for temporary exhibitions. When we were there the exhibition was about the evolution of Star Trek ships as shown in the toys through the ages. The main focus of the museum is the model railway layouts, varying from a large central layout with model Brighton station to several smaller layouts featuring a variety of scenarios. All the layouts had working parts which moved when you pressed a button, though not all were working when we visited. It was interesting to wander round and see how toys changed developed through the 1950s and 1960s.
