点评：One of the oldest temples in Bansberia, this five-storeyed temple with its thirteen lotus-shaped ratnas is a unique architectural marvel. Dedicated to Maa Hangseshwari (Kali), the temple stands apart from typical Bengal temple architecture. Adjacent to the main shrine is a Radha-Krishna temple adorned with exquisite terracotta work.
The surrounding premises are well maintained and offer a calm, tranquil atmosphere—ideal for reflection and spiritual visits. Sandhya Aarti (evening prayer) is particularly moving and memorable, drawing a large number of devotees. Prasadam of Maa is served at noon; however, coupons must be collected in the morning.
Although the temple holds immense historical and spiritual significance, urgent maintenance is required, which appears to have been pending for quite some time. Facilities such as parking and toilets are available, which is a plus.
The temple is easily accessible from Bansberia Railway Station and Dunlop Ferry Ghat, and can also be reached conveniently by personal vehicle.
