点评:On 17 January, my SpiceJet flight (Kolkata ✈️ Hyderabad) was preponed at the last minute.
Because of this airline-initiated change, I reached the airport to find the baggage counter closed.
Despite being within my permitted baggage limit, I was stopped at the boarding gate and forced to pay ₹5,250 or miss the flight.
No announcement.
No assistance.
No option to move baggage to the aircraft hold.
Boarding was still going on. The aircraft hadn’t even departed.
As a single woman traveller, travelling to meet my son studying at IIT Kharagpur, and a school principal by profession, this experience was mentally harassing and humiliating.
Passengers don’t oppose rules.
They oppose being punished for airline failures.
