From Libya 🇱🇾 with my wife
We visited Jardin d'Essai du Hamma this month and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Algiers.
The Garden: 10/10
The garden is huge, green, and so peaceful. Over 3000 types of plants and trees from all over the world. Walking with my wife under the big ficus trees and bamboo paths felt like we were in a different country. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Atmosphere: 9/10
Perfect for couples and families. Very quiet, fresh air, and beautiful views. We took a lot of photos. In July it was green and cool because of all the trees and fountains.
Cleanliness: 9/10
The paths, benches, and lake area were all clean. There are guards and workers keeping it tidy.
Facilities: 8/10
There are cafes inside, bathrooms, and places to sit. We had coffee and enjoyed the view of the flowers and the old greenhouse.
Location: 9/10
Easy to reach from the city center. Close to the sea and not far from the Casbah.
Overall: 9/10
Jardin d'Essai is a must-visit in Algiers. Romantic, relaxing, and beautiful. If you’re visiting Algeria with your wife or family, spend at least 2-3 hours here. We loved it and will definitely come back.
