One more site in Hampi to spend 2-3 hours. A fully stoned area, stone floors, stone walls, stone roofs and what not. But every structure has a small story to tell.
Go there in the early morning or early evening, else, the heat of the noon may not be good for your modern-styled body/ skin. This structure and bunch of small structures, temples etc show how rugged the Indians were and the Indians are today as well.
You will spot Sri Ganesha Temple, Sri Yantra engraving, Pillars, Roofs, a deserted Shivji Temple locked away in oblivion. It is quite heart drenching to see the how the entire model of structures and the area was damaged by the Mughal invaders and later by our great authorities and the negligent travellers.
More engravings can be researched here, but, for all this, it is better you take a guide with you who can take you to the old memories with their stories, some real, and some cooked-up.
A real good investment and a good tourism marketing push is what Hampi really needs!
Carry good amount of drinking water and hats to stay hydrated and to save yourself from any sun-burns.
