点评:Visited Harsiddhi Mata Mandir around 6:30–7 PM on a Saturday. Surprisingly, darshan was quite smooth and it took us only 10–15 minutes, which was very manageable.
This temple is one of the important Shaktipeeths. It is believed that the elbow of Goddess Sati fell here, which makes the temple very powerful and spiritually significant. The temple is also located just around 100–200 meters from Mahakaleshwar Temple, so you can imagine how sacred and powerful this place is.
The highlight here is the evening diya lighting ceremony. Every evening, especially around aarti time, the pandits light thousands of diyas on the two tall lamp pillars (Deep Stambh) inside the temple premises. The view is absolutely beautiful and divine, and it is definitely something you should not miss if you are visiting in the evening.
There is a shoe stand on the first floor where you can keep your footwear. Also, if you buy prasad from the vendors outside, many of them also offer to keep your shoes there, so it’s convenient either way.
Overall, it’s a must-visit temple in Ujjain, especially during the evening when the diya ceremony happens.
