点评：A lovely theatre with friendly and helpful staff
I visited Darlington Hippodrome for the matinee performance of Heathers: The Musical and had a really enjoyable experience.
The theatre itself is lovely, with lots of character and some beautiful historic features. The layout was a little confusing for me personally, particularly when I first arrived and was trying to work out where I needed to go, but the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful, which made a big difference.
There are male, female and accessible toilets available. At the moment there isn't a gender-neutral toilet, although I was told this is something the theatre is working on.
One particularly useful thing I discovered was a quiet corridor at the back of the stalls near the toilets. There are a couple of seats there and it was a good place to take a short sensory break away from the auditorium. The theatre also makes an announcement when the performance is about to restart, which meant I knew when it was time to return to my seat.
From a sensory perspective, the production I saw had some loud music and sound effects, so anyone who is sound-sensitive may want to consider bringing earplugs, ear defenders or headphones. I needed a short sensory break, but it wasn't a major issue and I was able to return and enjoy the second half.
Overall, I found Darlington Hippodrome to be a lovely theatre with friendly and supportive staff, and I really enjoyed my visit. 🎭💜

从感官体验的角度来看，我观看的演出中有不少响亮的音乐和音效，因此任何对声音敏感的人或许需要考虑带上耳塞、耳罩或耳机。我需要短暂地远离这些声音来放松一下，但这并非什么大问题，之后我也能继续观赏演出的后半部分。
