Lovely site, horrible staff
Much Wenlock Priory的点评
点评：The Priory itself is quite impressive and quiet and restful, and we enjoyed a couple of hours looking around. However, the woman in the office as we left was rude, unhelpful and generally unpleasant. I have messaged English Heritage twice (August 1st and August 11th) and as of today (August 17th) they have not even acknowledged my complaint. I was buying a couple of items and saw a sign saying "10% off with membership card", but when I showed it at the till, the woman said "It won't do you any good - it's the wrong colour!" I asked what she meant, and she said "Your card has got to be red!" She DID NOT explain that you only get a discount if you have been a member for more than a year, and this is my first year. My husband discovered this by reading the smallprint on another sign.
When we arrived I was told that as I have an essential companion (my mobility is limited and my balance is poor) I could use the toilet at the front, rather than try to get up the steps of the toilets of the ones out the back. On our way out I tried this door, and the woman said "The toilets are out the back!" I said "There's one here?" and she replied "That's for the disabled!" I replied " I AM disabled!" and she tutted and mumbled "I'll get the key" HOW DARE SHE SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!
We left immediately and I used a toilet in the town. Her attitude is appalling, and I was angry, embarrassed and humiliated.
Oh, and whatever you do, don't buy an ice cream. My Magnum cost me £3.45, and you can buy a box of 3 for £3.50, and although I know that places have to make a profit, 300% is outrageous.
