Great photo ops.
Argaty Red Kites的点评
点评：I had been looking forward to this trip for a while and the experience did not disappoint. I had booked both hides for a whole day experience and would recommend bringing lunch with you to get the maximum time in the hides.
The walk to the woodland hides is over a couple of fields and is muddy if it is raining ( remember, it’s Scotland) so waterproof shoes at minimum or wellies made a difference.
The range of wildlife seen at the woodland area is a great for photographers. From the cute red squirrels to multiple small birds and woodpeckers, they made our day. We started with just one red squirrel and eventually had 6 running around. More than enough to keep your shutters clicking. If it is a dull day the lighting can be low.
After lunch we headed to the Red Kite photo hide, another well made hide with seating. Again, the wildlife did not disappoint. We had almost two hours of red kites flying around, with the odd crow getting into the action. These beautiful birds put on such a great show for us.
Would recommend Argaty for any photographers in the area on vacation or otherwise. A couple of caveats, bring spare batteries as there is no power in the hides. Plan for low light at the woodland hide.
