点评：Sadly not what it was.
George Fisher was somewhere we would look forward to going for major outdoor purchases ie jackets and boots over many years. Unrivalled welcome and expertise etc. Now it it just another shop and while most of the staff are pleasant there are some who are openly bored and disinterested (last week it was so noticeable and in particular the woman who happened to be Scottish on the first floor, couldn’t give a jot and was openly sighing as she wandered around!).
The removal of the longstanding cafe is a huge loss.
We have also bought online and while you’d expect less online, it was also a very impersonal Tiso experience when we ran into trouble with a faulty manufacture issue.
Keswick and the northern lakes deserves better and please give your heads a wobble and take stock. Don’t become ‘just another’
