点评:Following the devastating fire the National Museum has bounced back with great displays, more in-depth text accompanying the artefacts and thematic exhibitions that build a stronger narrative for the nation.
Somehow for a country as vast and varied with such a larger than size presence in South East Asia the museum seems under resourced and lacking in blockbuster type art.
I appreciated the Ritus Pulang section and the Pillars of the Nation exhibits.
The former being a showcase of the items returned from overseas museum collections as a result of cultural diplomacy. Although not all on show the 11-12th century bronzes are stunning. In their detail and patina.
The latter can be better displayed but does tell the powerful narrative of the fight against colonialism and nation building. Accompanied by evocative objects that detail multiculturalism and diversity.
Very unrated and definitely work a visit in a city that has often been described as lacking in culture.

我非常欣赏“回归之路”(Ritus Pulang)展区和“国家支柱”(Pillars of the Nation)展览。
