Temi Tea Garden的点评
点评：The drive into the Temi Tea Resort in the dark, drifting in and out of mists, was magical enough! Then to be received with Kataks (Tibetan welcome scarves) and lemon Tea with honey warmed us to go up the wooden stairs to the Bodhi suite! A restored 19th Century room with tasteful artefacts and lamps and a wooden ceiling with windows that opened out to Tea gardens. An en suite statement with the bathroom in a rich floral tile accent.
They had all said the Kanchenjunga had not revealed herself in the last fortnight; but next morning the splendid range opened out for a glittering view before the curtain of clouds shrouded it.
Breakfast on the verandah, looking out at the valley is bliss as is the excellent food with innumerable cups of Temi tea. All the food was delicious, but sometimes the single chef seemed to be rushed and maybe needs an assistant.
Trip into the forest for a picnic complete with camping tables, chairs and food next to the sequoia or the pine copses was a romantic interlude. The wildlife unfortunately was nowhere to be seen.
Heartiest congratulations to the owners for their vision and the deft touch with the interiors to make this a haven. The staff was ever-smiling and ready to serve. All of it made it a heady holiday for the soul!
