Not the experience we were hoping for

点评：We attended the Discovering Gelato class today and, unfortunately, came away feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable.
During our stay in Italy, we participated in several different classes and experiences, all of which were excellent. As enthusiastic gelato admirers, we had especially looked forward to this visit and class.
We appreciated that the class was conducted in English. However, we found it extremely difficult to understand what our guide was saying, which made it frustrating and nearly impossible to follow the information being presented.
We were then told that, because my husband and I were not enrolled in the Master Class, we would stand at the far end of the long worktable and would only participate in making gelato. Everyone was standing behind the table, but being placed at the end and separated in this way left us unsure about the extent to which we would be included and what we would actually be doing. Frankly, by the time we were told that we could leave, we both felt somewhat relieved, as the situation had become quite uncomfortable.
I hope you will accept a few suggestions in the constructive spirit in which they are intended. For an English-language class, it is important to have a guide whose English can be clearly understood by international visitors. It would also be helpful to explain at the very beginning exactly what each guest will be participating in.
Finally, combining Discovering Gelato participants and Master Class participants in the same session did not make us feel comfortable or fully included. The differences between the two experiences should either be explained very clearly from the outset or, ideally, the groups should be kept separate.
We truly wanted to enjoy this experience, particularly because so many of the other classes we attended in Italy were wonderful. Unfortunately, this visit was a significant disappointment.
