点评:I was born in Tilburg but have lived abroad for 30 years. I was visting my "home" town with my wife and we thought it would be nice to visit the Textielmuseum and get some better understanding of Tilburg. That did not work out as expected. The TextielMuseum is now co-branded with TextielLab. It is quite clear the latter has essentially taken over. The Musuem part consisted of a few old machines with a child orientated explanation. It felt however as if the machines were squashed in a corner, and I think they could have done a lot more with it. There was no link with the city of Tilburg, which thanks its existence to textile. Nothing about the many factories that once existed, the people who worked there, the conditions, etc. etc. The TexielLab is essentially a space for artists. I felt however it was artists talking to artists, not the the greater public. There was huge space allocated to expositions. Which is not what I came for. In summary, as a museum this place fails miserably.
