点评：Not an easy visit if you don't speak Spanish. You can buy an audio guide for the castle in English for additional 2 euro but you still have to join the guided tour in Spanish which is usually a large group and rather slow. Not easy to listen to simultaneously as Spanish being spoken either. The castle is ok but not a great deal to see.
Your entry also includes the wine museum and there are QR codes on each information board for an English translation. If you've ever visited a winery though you will it quite basic.
If you have some time to fill this is a reasonable visit but I wouldnt go out of your way.
The only other thing to see in Penafiel is the unusual bullring in the Plaza do Casco. Unfortunately this seems to be a town that has seen better days and most of the unusual wooden houses around the bullring appear to be boarded up.
You can walk uphill to the castle in around 20 mins. There is road side parking there but it is quite limited.
