点评：Shirdi Temple was a good experience overall. The facilities are well organised and the washrooms inside the complex are clean, which makes a big difference when the crowds are heavy. The senior citizen queue helped streamline things, and for us the total time was about 1.5 hours gate to gate, which is quite reasonable. Parking isn’t an issue — there are plenty of private parking lots around the complex, all within a short walking distance.
You do need to be aware of touts outside the main area. Many will offer to “help” with darshan, store your shoes or guide you, but the real intention is to steer you into specific stores selling overpriced prasad and offerings. Better to ignore them and go straight into the official shoe counters and entry gates.
Once inside, the temple complex is surprisingly calm and serene despite the crowds. The atmosphere is peaceful, and you can spend as much or as little time as you like inside the main areas. Overall, a smooth and well-managed darshan experience if you plan your timing and avoid the usual tourist traps.
